Description
Harrison Lake is unique among the major lakes in British Columbia in that it is only a few feet above sea level. There are several distinct periods in the lake's history. For the Natives, it was a well-known canoe route, and from 1858 until the mid 1860s it played a part in the Cariboo gold-rush, with sternwheeler traffic that came up the Fraser and Harrison rivers. Late in the 19th century it became famous for cutthroat trout fishing. During most of the 20th century, the lake was busy with the traffic of a thriving logging industry, towboats and crew boats servicing some 20 logging camps around its shores.

The balance is just right and the lighting is sumptuous.
